Student Visa Compliance

International Student Support, liaise with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), the PRISMS taskforce, ESOS taskforce and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, regarding student compliance issues.   

Reporting requirements:

As a registered provider of educational services to international students, USQ is required, under Section 19 of the ESOS Act 2000, to inform the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) through the Dept of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) about changes to international student enrolment, including:

  • completed program early
  • did not commence program
  • left education provider (transferred to another program at another provider)
  • enrolled in the same / another program (same educational provider)
  • cessation of studies
  • enrolment cancelled due to non-payment of fees
  • incorrect enrolment in a semester; and
  •  any breach by the student of a student visa condition relating to:
