Our goals

In partnership with University faculties and sections, the goals of the Student Equity Office are to:

• encourage, facilitate and develop key strategic plans that focus on meeting the needs of students from diverse backgrounds
• engage in policy development, implementation and review in terms of the University's equity and multicultural goals
• support the portfolio of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Social Justice)
• encourage and facilitate the growth of the profile of students from equity groups within the University's core business
• inform and participate in the University's committees
• assist the University to identify and implement best practice principles
• report to the Australian Government on the University's equity programs and performance
• provide information and support for the University community.
