Education

The University is continuing to review its academic program offerings to ensure that they meet the emerging educational needs of the Surat Basin and south-west Queensland communities. Academic program changes that have already been introduced to meet these emerging needs include:

• the new Associate Degree of Construction and Bachelor of Construction programs in 2011
• the Bachelor of Education program is now able to be completely studied by online mode
• new Process Engineering program introduced into the Associate Degree of Engineering

• the Bachelor of Science (Environment & Sustainability major) offered both on-campus and by Distance Education.

The University also offers professional development and short course training in selected areas.

The Faculty of Business offers professional development short courses which maybe used as a credit towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Business or MBA.  The courses available are:

• Marketing
• Management
• Finance
• Accounting
• Information Systems
• Law

 The Faculty of Engineering and Surverying offers the:

• Power Systems Protection Course.

The Faculty of Sciences offers the:

• Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainability Science
• Masters of Sustainability Science (Coursework).

The National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture offer short courses, including:
