SYNOPSIS:

This unit offers students the opportunity to apply previously learned principles of theatre. Selected aspects of contemporary theatre are examined, and students have an opportunity to apply the practical skills acquired in the previous related units.


OBJECTIVES:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have:

  1. a detailed knowledge of selected aspects of contemporary theatre;
  2. obtained practical experience in one or more aspects of theatre production.

TOPICS:

 Description                                                    Weighting(%)
  1. Aspects of contemporary theatre of special interest to the student will be selected and examined in seminars.

  2. Each student will participate in a major practical project in the theatre to be realised during the semester.
