SYNOPSIS:

The demonstration in an audition situation of movement awareness, of learned physical skills, and the ability to deal successfully with a varied range of performance styles is a requisite of the threshold professional actor. The unit seeks to ensure a high exit standard of physical strength, fitness, flexibility and movement skills. The application of learned movement vocabularies to performance is also addressed.


OBJECTIVES:

On successful completion of this unit students will have:

  1. Demonstrated a high degree of flexibility and fitness.
  2. Demonstrated the ability to perform a formal dance routine.
  3. Demonstrated an ability to adjust, simulate and abstract pedestrian movement and gesture.
