Synopsis

The   unit   concentrates  on  developing  appropriate  examples   and
structured levels of exercises to develop at the student s  pace  from
easier  mathematics concepts to more difficult levels, The  unit  will
allow  students  to  see  the  connection with  various  other,  often
earlier, mathematics concepts. This reinforcement will assist students
to build confidence in mathematics at their pace. The examples will be
aimed  at an appropriate level for the students and particularly  will
try  to focus on life experiences to further develop relevance as well
as concepts.

Exercises  will give students wide and in-depth practice  in  applying
concepts  and  they will need to work through all of  these  prior  to
moving to later modules.
