This  unit deals with the issues involved in the management  function
which  is  defined broadly as staff training and development  and  it
involves:   needs  assessment  and organisational   analysis,  career
planning/management/development,   theories   of   adult    learning,
performance appraisal, training/instructional techniques,  evaluation
of training programmes, practical and special considerations.
