Synopsis

Information is fast becoming an organisation's most valuable resource.
The  effective  management  of  information  can  therefore  give   an
organisation  a  competitive edge.  This  unit  focuses  on  effective
methods  of obtaining, processing, storing and disseminating data  and
information.   The  communications component of the  unit  strives  to
ensure  that the information initiated within the organisation  is  of
high  quality.   The  study of an integrated  software  package  helps
ensure  that  the  presentation and manipulation  of  data/information
assists in providing the 'information advantage'.
