Synopsis

This  unit seeks to promote an understanding and appreciation  of  the
dynamic  nature  of  the policy-making process  in  modern  industrial
society. Attention is given to how issues emerge on the policy  agenda
and  are  subsequently  defined,  and  policies  formulated,  adopted,
implemented  and  evaluated.  Also,  how  policies  are   changed   or
terminated is considered.
