Synopsis

This unit focuses on Human Resource Management as a dynamic process
responding to changes in technology and product markets. It identifies
the logic of management action as essentially involving innovation
processes (or Kaizen). What are the strategies for change and the
tools of change? Do some management systems, such as the Japanese,
handle change and innovation more successfully? How can managers
select effective packages of compensation, personnel and industrial
relations practices under changing conditions?
