Synopsis

This  subject  introduces managers to the pathology  of  work  related
disease and to basic procedures and processes in occupational hygiene.
Topics   covered  include:  noise  and  vibration;  thermal   comfort;
lighting; dusts; modes of entry; standards and threshold limit values;
measurement techniques; toxicology; occupational diseases;  biological
hazards; workplace stressors (chemical and physical) and principles of
control. Socio- political and socio-scientific aspects of occupational
health and hygiene are also covered.
