Synopsis


The unit focusses on natural resources as the foundation of the standard of
living of modern societies.  Special attention is given to biological, soil and
energy resources, and their rates and processes of exploitation.  Global case
studies are used to develop an understanding of the requirements of sustainable
societies based on ecological and ethical background.
