Polymers (plastics) processing is an important part in modern manufacturing. Mechanical engineers should have an appreciation of the complex behaviours of polymeric liquids under various processing conditions. The understanding of such behaviours is relevant both in the design as well as the operation of the associated polymers processing machineries.
