Synopsis

This  unit investigates the personal needs of people and the attitudes
of  our culture, and that of others, toward artistic experiences which
promise  to  satisfy those needs. The content covered will  deal  with
mark making or musical repertoires as modes of transmitting realms  of
meaning in  the non-verbal sense. Students will be required to examine
documents  relating  to the Arts, focusing on  either  Visual  Art  or
Music,  and  investigate  and appraise various  types  of  musical  or
artistic works.
