Synopsis

This unit aims to:

(a)  acquaint students with the influences which affect the design
     and content of curriculum; and to

(b)  develop the ability in students to identify these influences at
     work in selected syllabus documents.

The  influences on selected syllabus documents will be studied  by  an
examination  of  some current curriculum issues and  their  impact  on
curriculum change and design.
