A highly developed technique with enhanced interpretive skills is crucial to the artistic progress of any professional performer. Through advanced training and experience in these areas of expertise, the student will have the opportunity to develop from student to professional status. Instrumental repertoire will include either the performance of a major concerto or presentation of a recital. Students who chose the concerto in unit 91919 will choose the recital for unit 91920. Similarly, students who chose the recital in unit 91919 will choose the concerto performance in unit 91920. Vocal students may choose to emphasise stage or concert repertoire but both should be included. The standard achieved in the successful completion of this unit will be higher than that achieved in unit 91919.
