Synopsis

This   unit  is  structured  to  support,  complement  and  strengthen
individual studio practice specializations.  In it drawing is seen  as
an  expressive  element of visual communication  which  underpins  and
informs  studio  practice as both a part and an  extension  of  studio
specialization as well as a means of documenting work-in-progress.

Photography  will be utilized as a supportive artform  as  well  as  a
means  of  recording work-in-progress.  The unit will  also  encourage
both  analytical  and intuitive approaches in the progression  through
formal   design  and  drawing  concepts  to  more  personal   creative
statements.    Conceptual  development  will  be  encouraged   through
supportive theoretical studies and integration with studio practice.
