Synopsis

The  unit provides the opportunity for the student to investigate  and
research  a  preferred, specialized area of visual arts study  through
major  project  work negotiated with the lecturer.  Students  will  be
encouraged to establish their own avenues of practise/expertise and to
develop  an  individual visual language, realized to  high  levels  of
artistic competence.
This  is  the  first of two final year units presenting students  with
opportunities  for specialized, in-depth studio practice  and  related
research projects in one of five modules of specialization:- painting,
printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, textiles.
