The study of dramatic texts provides insights into human experiences and places these experiences in the context of society. This unit examines the third of the four major historical periods and provides a study of the history, theory, texts and practice of the major Western Theatre developments between the restoration of theatre in England and the establishment of the Moscow Art Theatre
