SYNOPSIS:

This unit introduces students to the final stage of preparation for entry into the live entertainment industry as a theatre practitioner/stage manager. This unit focuses on practical implementation of stage management techniques through the conduct of public performances/associated activities.


OBJECTIVES:

On successful completion of this unit students will:

  1. demonstrate a detailed knowledge of several areas of the Stage
    Manager or theatre practitioner;
  2. demonstrate advanced skills in several areas of the Stage
    Manager or theatre practitioner;
  3. demonstrate a thorough practical understanding and awareness
    of production and artistic staff interaction as a Stage
    Manager or theatre practitioner;
  4. demonstrate an aptitude to work in a professional theatre
    environment as a Stage Manager or theatre practitioner.
