Pre-requisite: 51005+51180
This unit builds on the knowledge gained in 51180 Local Government and examines the specific planning, development and environmental powers of local government in Queensland, placing particular emphasis on the statutory provisions relating to town planning, rezoning and subdivision. As well, students will study traffic and building controls, health and welfare, and environmental management and control.
