Synopsis

Corporate finance has become more dynamic and challenging as the last
two decades have seen fundamental changes in financial markets and
instruments as well as new developments in corporate financial
theories and practices. This unit will examine contemporary financial
theories and their applications in formulating corporate policies in
major areas such as asset allocation, debt and equity management,
corporate restructuring, and dividend policy. Case studies and
problems will be used to facilitate the understanding of how financial
theories can be applied in practice.
