Synopsis

This  study  of industrial relations focuses upon those  issues  which
have  contemporary importance for the conduct of business and industry
in  Australia. Industrial relations has been undergoing  a  period  of
significant  change through the late 1980s into the 1990s.  Industrial
Relations  Issues will offer a number of topics designed to  draw  out
the  impact  of this changing environment and its importance  for  the
workplace.  The  parts played by unions and employers, the  bargaining
process, the question of policy options for industrial relations, such
as deregulation of the labour market, will be examined.
