Synopsis

This  subject  introduces managers to the pathology  of  work  related
disease and to basic procedures and processes in occupational hygiene.
Topics   covered  include:  noise  and  vibration,  thermal   comfort,
lighting, dusts, modes of entry, standards and threshold limit values,
measurement techniques, toxicology, occupational diseases,  biological
hazards, workplace stressors (chemical and physical) and principles of
control. Socio- political and socio-scientific aspects of occupational
health and hygiene are also covered.
