Synopsis

This  introductory study in Microbiology includes  a  history  of  the
impact  of  micro-organisms on the well being of mankind and discusses
the  nature, nutrition, metabolism and genetics of bacteria,  viruses,
fungi  and  protozoa. An introduction to recombinant  DNA  technology,
infectious  disease, immunology and Public Health  are  also  included
along with environmental and industrial applications.
