Synopsis

This unit builds on the foundations obtained in Mammalian
Physiology 1. The unit extends the students' knowledge of the
functioning of several major body systems, examines integration
between body systems and the control of physiological processes,
with an emphasis on human physiology. Areas of focus include
sensory, neural, endocrine, cardiac and respiratory physiology,
acid-base balance and exercise physiology in humans. The basic
concepts of pharmacology are also examined.
