Synopsis

The analyst of many modern structures must assimilate and apply an
ever increasing body of structural theory.

This unit further develops the student's basic understanding of
elastic structural analysis and behaviour and includes lateral
buckling, torsion of thin walled sections and elementary thin plate
theory.

The unit also provides an introduction to the dynamical behaviour of
elastic skeletal systems.
