Synopsis

This  half  unit  introduces  and overviews  issues  in  learning  and
teaching second languages for second language acquisition (SLA):

. differences between first and second language learning,

. role of errors in second language learning;

. the route in development of learning a second language;

. individual differences and effects on attainment rates and levels of
proficiency;

. how a second language can be communicated.
