Synopsis

The unit is concerned with building a foundation of artwork processes.
By  exploring  the materials and practice methods essential  to  these
media,  students  are encouraged to develop their individual  creative
potential,  commencing the process of evolving positive attitudes  for
future involvement in the making of 3D artworks.

This  unit  will  provide  opportunity for  initial  practice  in  the
following    three-dimensional   studio/workshop   areas:   Sculpture,
Ceramics, Textiles.

Studio  practice  will  be  reinforced  by  lectures  and  discussion,
analysing  the  work of established professionals, increasing  student
insight into concepts expressed visually in three-dimensional form.
