Synopsis

To   examine  the  behavioural  and  organisational  implications   of
auditing. The unit will review developments in organisation theory and
financial  economics, and recent research in auditing. The purpose  is
to  develop an understanding of the role and function of auditing, and
to  identify important factors to be considered in utilising auditors.
Previous statistical knowledge to the level of 64903 - Statistics  for
Researchers, is assumed. Students without such knowledge may  need  to
do supplementary study.
