Synopsis

Within  the  Accounting  major of the Bachelor of  Commerce  (Honours)
course this unit will enable students to undertake specific discipline
related study which is not available through other coursework units.

Within  this unit students will undertake specific discipline  related
study  under  the  introduction of an assigned staff member.  Students
will  be required to submit an outline of the proposed course of study
to  the  Dean for approval, prior to being enrolled in this unit.  The
proposal must:

a)  identify  the  staff  member prepared to provide  supervision;  b)
include  a statement of the problem to be investigated and  a  set  of
objectives; c) include a reading list.

The  Department of Accounting will advise potential areas  capable  of
being  supervised  by  June in the year prior to offering  this  unit.
Previous  statistical knowledge to the level of 64903 `Statistics  for
Researchers' is assumed. Students without such knowledge may  need  to
do supplementary study.
