Synopsis

Ecology is the scientific study of the interactions that determine the
distribution and abundance of organisms. This unit examines the
ecology of populations, communities and ecosystems. It also provides
insights to human and behavioural ecology. Practicals include
laboratory and field investigations of soils, single- species (grain
beetle, cormorant) and seashore, freshwater and terrestrial plant
communities.
