Synopsis
This unit will consider the decisions early childhood teachers need to
make when organising learning environments in small rural primary
schools, selecting the context and developing assessment tools, as
well as evaluating the effectiveness of their own teaching and the
programmes they develop. This unit will focus on curriculum design for
integrated multi-level classrooms in small rural schools and upon
professional and managerial relationships in schools. There will be a
specific focus on the community in which these schools are located.
