Synopsis

This  unit  is concerned with building a practical foundation  in  the
areas of two-dimensional expression. By exploring a variety of methods
and  materials students will be encouraged to develop their  technical
and observational skills.

The  unit  will  provide  studio practice  in  Drawing,  Painting  and
Printmaking. Studio practice will be reinforced by project work and by
lectures  analysing  the work of established artists,  thus  providing
insight into how concepts can be expressed visually through 2D media.
