Synopsis

Surveying  can  be described as the science of measuring  and  mapping
features  on  the  earth's  surface. The  services  of  Surveyors  are
required  at  all  stages  of new projects and developments,  existing
development, often in a project management or consultancy role as well
as in a practical survey employment situation.

This  Unit introduces students to surveying instrumentation, services,
theory, measurement techniques and calculations.
