Synopsis

The unit is divided into two equal parts.

Part A - Geology

Introduction  to geology; rock as a construction material;  weathering
and soil formation; structural geology and geomorphology.

Part B - Hydrology

Introduction  to  hydrology;  run  off  and  stream  flow;   reservoir
performance;  groundwater  hydrology; water  supplies  to  cities  and
towns.
