Synopsis

Students will practice explaining how to use concepts involved in
descriptive and inferential statistics studies in the unit Data
Analysis. The topics are exposed to student analysis and explanation
in written and spoken forms: describing how to produce, explore,
condense and display data, elementary probability, normal
distribution, single and two-sample inference of means and
proportions, comparison of frequencies, correlation and regression.
Emphasis is placed on interaction with the text to understand and
express statistical concepts, to use accurately the language of
interpreting, then presenting an experimental design.
