Synopsis

Teachers not only need theory about second language learning but also
need to know how this theory has been translated successfully into
practice in the classroom. This unit, in essence, tries to link the
theory and practice together. The unit looks at the teaching of the
four macroskills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. It also
looks at the teaching of vocabulary and grammar so that these two
types of activities are situated in a teaching program in their proper
place.
