Synopsis

In the introductory law unit students were exposed to basic principles
of  legal  liability.  In this unit the study of those  principles  is
extended  and  applied  to specific situations  such  as  professional
liability and consumer protection. Also, the opportunity is  taken  to
canvas  general  principles of civil liability not previously  covered
including equitable remedies and the examination of the management  of
liability  through  insurance.  In the  second  part  of  the  course,
critical aspects of financing businesses are dealt with through topics
on property law, credit, securities and bankruptcy.
