Synopsis

This is a unit in the application of principles of microeconomics to
the evaluation of large-scale public projects, and to a lesser extent,
private projects. Students examine principles of project evaluation
and, using consistent evaluation techniques, evaluate a particular
project. While most emphasis is placed on cost-benefit analysis, other
techniques such as input-output analysis and environmental and social
impact analysis are considered.
