Synopsis

Financial Institutions play a central role in the economy, and  are  a
sufficiently   different   form  of  corporate   entity   to   warrant
investigation in their own right. This unit provides an opportunity to
explore   the   theoretical  underpinnings  of  financial  institution
behaviour, and to examine the application of mainstream finance theory
to research in financial institutions.
