Pre-requisite: Undergraduate Income Tax Law Unit

Synopsis

In  order  to provide professional advice and service to a taxpayer  a
knowledge  of both substantive taxation law and tax administration  is
necessary.  In  respect of substantive law and concepts  this  subject
examines current issues and problems faced by business, building  upon
what is taught at an undergraduate level.

The  unit  also examines aspects of tax administration and  compliance
such  as  the  self-assessment system, the  powers  of  the  FCT,  and
taxation disputes.
