This unit highlights the specific difficulties and challenges associated with the management of IS projects. The various stages in the IS project management process are examined. In addition, the human and organisational issues of IS project management are highlighted. The increasing involvement of end users in the development of projects and the increasing trend towards outsourcing are also examined.
