Synopsis

This  introductory  study  in Microbiology includes  a  study  of  the
impact  of  micro-organisms on the well being of mankind and discusses
the  nature, nutrition, metabolism and genetics of bacteria,  viruses,
fungi  and  protozoa. An introduction to recombinant  DNA  technology,
infectious   disease,  immunology  and  Public   Health   along   with
environmental  and industrial applications are also included  in  this
offering.
