Synopsis

The  major  part  of the unit comprises experience  with  a  range  of
advanced  test  equipment, electromagnetic compatibility  measurements
and  with  the  use  of  automatic test equipment  programmed  with  a
graphical programming language. Some training and experience will also
be  provided on working in teams. A small amount of time will also  be
spent  sharing  personal views on ethical aspects  of  the  electrical
engineering  industry.  Bachelor of Engineering  (Instrumentation  and
Control)  students will spend all of the unit on the  above  material.
Bachelor  of  Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) and Bachelor  of
Technology  students will also have experience with telecommunications
phenomena such as those associated with transmission lines and with  a
variety of power electronic systems.
