Synopsis

This  unit  will  identify  and respond to health  issues  which  have
recently  been  identified  as  important  considerations  for   early
education,   including  national  and  state   based   standards   and
regulations,  infectious diseases, injury prevention  and  nutritional
requirements.  It  will  also  focus on  other  issues  such  as  AIDS
education,  abused  children,  immunisation  and  the  development  of
protective behaviour programmes for young children.
