Synopsis

This  unit  will introduce students to curriculum documents  for  both
Visual Art and Music in the Primary School and investigate methodology
for  implementing worthwhile programmes of learning in and through the
Arts. In this unit Visual Art and Music will be taught as modules  and
topics  will  include subject-specific skills and approaches  to  Arts
education.

Current  trends in Education will be discussed and relevant  documents
from  state  and  national Arts Education bodies will be  investigated
with regard to implications for Visual Art and Music Education.
