Synopsis

This  unit is sequential to Curriculum Studies - Arts A and will allow
students  to expand their knowledge of curriculum documents  for  both
Visual Art and Music in the Primary School. The specific concepts  and
skills  appropriate to Art and Music will be investigated in  separate
modules.  However  methods of integrated learning  between  discipline
areas  will  be  investigated  and  students  will  be  encouraged  to
investigate  teaching methodology appropriate for  upper  primary  and
junior high school programmes.

Students  will  be  challenged  to  consider  implications  for   Arts
education  through  discussion of current  curriculum  documents  that
point   to  global  awareness  and  developing  contextual  pedagogies
throughout the total learning environments in schools.
