Engineers require a wide knowledge of mathematics to help them to update their engineering skills throughout their careers. Applications of numerical techniques and other analytical methods are important in engineering.
This unit comprises a study of four modules selected from areas of numerical solution of partial differential equations, complex analysis, advanced differential equations and advanced vector analysis. The choice of modules will exclude those studied in the unit 64636 Advanced Engineering Mathematics A and will be selected in consultation with the appropriate Head of Programme.
Depending on the choice of modules. Refer to topics and
objectives for 64634, 64624, 64633, 64622.
