Synopsis

In the introductory law unit students were exposed to basic principles
of legal liability. In this unit the study of those principles is
extended and applied to specific situations such as professional
liability and consumer protection. Also, the opportunity is taken to
canvas general principles of civil liability not previously covered
including equitable remedies and the examination of the management of
liability through insurance. In the second part of the course,
critical aspects of financing businesses are dealt with through topics
on property law, credit, securities and bankruptcy.
